BART is a browser extension that helps website publishers identify and document a problematic ("bad") ad on a page they are viewing. This policy explains how it handles data.
BART does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any user data. It has no servers, no analytics, and no third-party tracking. Nothing you view or generate with BART is sent anywhere.
When you click the BART icon and then click an ad, BART reads technical information about the page and the selected ad โ such as the ad's Google Ad Manager and Prebid identifiers, the demand source/SSP, header-bidding auction data, ad-tech network request metadata, and a screenshot of the page. All of this is processed locally in your browser to build a report.
The most recent report is stored locally on your device (via the browser's
storage.local) so it can be shown in a report tab; each new report replaces the
previous one. You may optionally export a report as a JSON or HTML file to your own computer.
None of this data leaves your device.
BART requests browser permissions (webRequest, storage, tabs, scripting, webNavigation, and host access) solely to perform the on-device functions described above. It does not use these permissions to collect or transmit data.
